KKS was appointed by a private financial client in the heart of Mayfair to evaluate buildings and design a new London HQ for their expanding business. They wanted to retain their West End location and their current office was selected out of a choice of seven buildings after a thorough due diligence process. This prestigious location aligned with the status and brand of the client: understated, professional, timeless.
Since they had outgrown their previous building it was important that the new workspace could support their future growth. The client wished to maximise reuse of existing furniture. All of the work floors and client meeting suites were designed around the existing products.
The reception area on level one was designed to provide the ambience of an art gallery and function as a business lounge. It is a calm oasis for visitors and employees who work long hours in a challenging business. The tranquility continues through the corridors and into the meeting rooms. At the end of each corridor, art is a focal point.
For the workspace it was imperative that KKS designed a space that offered the client what they were currently lacking in their existing space: connected workspaces across all the teams, sufficient WC provision, and adequate support amenities such as pantries, copy print rooms and on floor meeting facilities.
The result is a space of understated elegance and a working environment enhanced with inspiring artwork, all managed with a limited budget and fast programme. Employees are more connected and the space reflects the client’s vision and brand.
