Morgan Sindall asked KKS to design an interior that integrated a variety of areas; client-facing touchdown space and meeting rooms, open plan workstations, a kitchen and café. The construction firm wanted a workspace demonstrating the company’s difference, through a progressive, dynamic and informal image.
KKS design lent a friendly but professional face to the firm, with a dramatic brand signature.
Visitors are greeted by a breakout seating area at the heart of the open plan office. Overlapping stainless steel tubes at divergent angles provide a physical barrier around the informal space whilst retaining views through the interior. Meeting rooms combine privacy and openness through a custom glazed partition panel system. These cant at an angle from their glazing tracks and zigzag across the floor. The system is completely frameless.
Glass partitions pass seamlessly through both floor and ceiling, etched on one side and LED lit. When lighting diffuses across the glass, the faceted shapes produce a striking opacity and coloured effect.
